Having a baby can be amazing yet exhausting – read to find out how hypnotherapy can help you along the journey
Hypnotherapy Brings Relaxation and Relief to Mums!
Becoming a mother is a very exciting time but it can change every single aspect of your existence. It can affect you physically, emotionally, and mentally. Sleep deprivation, colicky baby, high levels of anxiety, baby blues & more can affect every mum to some degree.
Therefore it is very important to have the right support available to enable a smooth transition through early parenting and this is where a few sessions of hypnotherapy can help immensely.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a relaxing form of therapy which works by making positive changes at the subconscious level when the client is in a relaxed state. It is used regularly by people to help with all kinds of issues e.g. insomnia, phobias and weight loss.
Although you are not asleep when in a hypnotic trance it can lead to sleep which is why mothers who have difficulty switching off can listen to hypnotherapy recordings at night or during the day when their babies are napping to help guide them into blissful sleep.
Furthermore, hypnotherapy can help a mother cope with the stresses of having a colicky/crying baby. Mother Nature has designed the sound of a baby's cry to be particularly agonising to their own mother so that they quickly see to their needs. However if a baby still continues to cry even though all their needs have been met, the sound of their constant cries can generate feelings of anxiety and at times anger. A few sessions of hypnotherapy help the mother to feel more calm and relaxed during bouts of constant crying.
