, Hypnotherapy is an effective complementary therapy which helps change unwanted behaviours, belief systems, feelings and habits at the subconscious level using the power of positive suggestion and positive visualisations whilst a person is in hypnosis.
Hypnosis is nothing to be frightened of as it's a totally natural state of consciousness that the hypnotherapist helps guide the client into at the beginning of the session. Once they have entered into hypnosis, their subconscious mind is brought to the forefront and is more open to accepting positive suggestions and positive change.
During hypnosis new behaviours, beliefs and habits can then be created at the deeper subconscious level ensuring lasting results. Following a course of hypnotherapy you can start living the life you deserve without any unwanted beliefs, fears or negative patterns of behaviour holding you back anymore.
"Hypnotherapy is by far the most effective form of therapy I've tried. Alexandra helped me getting rid of insomnia that lasted over a month in one session! " Victoria 36, Wimborne

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HYPNOTHERAPY?
Whether it be helping you to sleep better, to feel less stressed, to overcome a phobia / bad habit, or to feel more confident or positive, these changes and more can occur during hypnosis at the subconscious level, resulting in profound and lasting changes in your life. Using a computer analogy, imagine that your mind is a hard drive and that during hypnosis it is updated with new and helpful software, replacing the old redundant programs that are holding you back.
Hypnotherapy is also used to help people attract their dreams using the Law of Attraction. During hypnosis we can help remove any subconscious blocks which are preventing some individuals from using the Law of Attraction to its full effect. You can also give more strength to the Law of Attraction by carrying out visualisations of your desires whilst in hypnosis - allowing these visions and dreams to sink deep down into the subconscious mind giving them more magnetism.

"I have completed six sessions with Alex after been given a referral by a work colleague. I went in with an open mind, not sure how it would pan out. But the results spoke for themselves. Hypnosis has worked for me and impacted my life in a positive way." Kate 32, London
WHAT DOES BEING IN HYPNOSIS FEEL LIKE?
Being in hypnosis is nothing to be afraid of. It is a totally natural state of relaxation between wakefulness and sleep. You are in this state many times during the day without even realising it, e.g. just before you go to sleep, when tying your shoe laces or when you are engrossed in a film when nothing can interfere with your focused state of attention. It is personal to each individual so not everyone reports having the same experience.
Not only is being in hypnosis a very powerful tool for affecting change, it is also a totally relaxing and re-energising experience. It is said that 30 minutes of hypnosis is equivalent to 4 hours sleep! Additionally, the more times you practise going into hypnosis the easier and quicker it becomes to let go and enter this relaxing state the next time round.
